Back in May, the Department of Justice named Chuck Rosenberg the Acting Administrator of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). There was not much to say about Chuck, a veteran of the Justice Department, in terms of ill will.
He was recruited to the Attorney General’s office out of law school and became a veteran of the Justice Department, rising to the position of Chief of Staff to the Director of the FBI. This history was all well and good, especially considering that he was to replace Michele Leonhart who held the position for 35 years — a post that had understandably (after three and a half decades) become long in tooth. And hey, he goes by Chuck instead of Charles — Obama thinks him cool enough. Click here to read what he has to say about medical marijuana.
