Cannabis News: Kanye West
Kanye’s at it again, but this time I don’t want to immediately throat punch him. Although I find him fairly reprehensible, he is using his notoriety for a cause near and dear to my heart: hemp clothing. It hurts my soul to think that all he needed to do was snap a picture with someone wearing a pretty fancy sweat shirt made by D9 Reserve, a hemp clothing company, for them to sell out almost instantaneously, pocking an easy $40,000. Personally, I would love to get my hands on one (NOT because Kanye told me to. I swear!), but apparently D9 Reserve has a ridiculous understanding of supply and demand, as they will not be selling anymore of that particular line of sweatshirts, making them even more coveted. That’s ok, their fancy deck of cards line of sweatshirts will do just fine for me.
I won’t lie when I say that D9 Reserve is pretty fly. Also, I know you’re wondering what D9 stands for, and don’t worry; I found out for you. According to their website, “’D9’ is short for Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol. (Delta-9-THC) is the primary psychoactive ingredient in marijuana.” Essentially they are a high end street wear company, and I dig the fact that their mission statement is “to represent the culture of the plant and the cultures of the street in a subtle, sophisticated presentation.”
