Republican congressman and marijuana advocate Rep. Dana Rohrabacher has recently announced that he is a medical marijuana patient, and used the medicine while he was in office.  According to CNN, he used a topical mmj treatment to combat his arthritis pain that he had been experiencing for about a year.

“I tried it two weeks ago, and it’s the first time in a year and a half that I had a decent night’s sleep because the arthritis pain was gone,” Rohrabacher told the audience, who applauded.  According to Rohrabacher, he went to a festival in San Bernadino and came across a candle treatment, where you rub the melted wax on your problem areas.  “There’s definitely cannabis in there, and it makes sure I can sleep now,” he said.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Rep. Rohrabacher, he addressed Congress last year about marijuana legalization, famously making several “dad jokes”.
