Weed and your Sexual Health
For you longtime Stoned Girls fans, you will remember when we reported on the best lubricants to use while giving a blowjob. Why might one want to use lube during a blowjob, you ask? Well, first, because some lube tastes really good, which can be quite satisfying when you’re stoned and craving something sweet. Second, and more importantly, is because of cotton mouth; nothing will kill the mood quite like dry head.
While we are all about pleasing men here at Stoned Girls, it has come to our attention that there may be another lubrication problem in the stoned sex department. According to a Vice interview with Dr. Julie Holland, author of Moody Bitches: The Truth About the Drugs Your Taking, the Sleep You’re Missing, the Sex You’re Not Having and What’s Really Making You Crazy, dry vagina can be a serious side effect of weed smoking.
Pseudo-affectionately called “cotton vagina,” this unfortunate occurrence has become a hot topic on the internet recently, even going so far as to have it’s own Urban Dictionary definition (n. an experience of dryness when stoned during intercourse). Dr. Holland told Vice that this issue is “Exactly like dry mouth. It’s the same thing. It’s the drying of the mucus membranes.”
We have the Answer in Addition
Don’t worry, though. We’ve got a perfectly acceptable (and super amazing) answer to those dry spells – Foria. Foria is a marijuana based lubricant, self-described as “An all-natural sensual enhancement oil thoughtfully designed for women.” Although Dr. Holland has not personally used it, she is a proponent of the product.
In fact, Vice reviewed Foria, saying “Sex was intense. I noticed certain things felt different and orgasms were longer, way crazier, and felt enhanced.”
So, can we really be upset with weed about the “cotton vagina” phenomenon, when products like Foria not only solve the problem with cannabis oil, but also enhance sexual pleasure for women? We don’t think so.
